Kenerly Kreations Inc. Costumes shine at Miss Wayne County Pageant 2008

The ninth annual Miss Wayne County pageant drew 9 contestants in the miss and eleven contestants in the teen miss categories and brought in a packed house to Wayne County High School Auditorium. Lacey Odum and Nicole Sharer were crowned as the 2008 Miss Wayne County and Teen Miss Wayne County respectively Saturday night January 19, 2008. “This is a dream come true for me, and I am so excited to have the title of Miss Wayne County,†Odum said. “I can’t wait to start using the title to promote my platform, ‘Two Homes, One Heart: Helping Children Cope with Divorce,’ on a broader level.†Lacey will now represent Wayne County at the Miss Georgia Pageant in Columbus Georgia in June.
“This is my very first Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen Preliminary, so I was surprised to earn the title,†Sharer said. “I’m absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to represent my community this summer at the Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen Pageant in Columbus Georgia this summer.
In the Miss division, Odum was the eveningwear and swimsuit winner. Other winners were Melanie Hollingsworth, first runner-up; Liana Mette, second runner-up and talent winner; Tarna Toothman third runner-up and Unity Christian Spirit Award winner; and Rachel Ogden, fourth runner-up.
In the Teen division Sharer was also the active wear winner. Other winners were Hilary Pulos, first runner-up and talent and eveningwear winner; Mary Katelyn Williams, second runner-up; Alayna Daniell, third runner-up Mary Porter, fourth runner-up and Unity Christian spirit award winner and Taylor Blanton, most photogenic.
“We had such a wonderful group of contestants this year,†pageant director Leslie Horton said. “The judges certainly had their work cut out for them, and they were very impressed with the level of community support that we are so lucky to have. “I feel confident that these young women will do a fabulous job at the state competitions.â€
Many contestants competed in Kenerly Kreations performance costumes before the packed house on Saturday night. Miss Wayne County Outstanding Teen Nicole Sharer wore a Kenerly Kreations original tap costume and outstanding teen talent winner Hilary Pulos wore a Kenerly Kreations costume for her jazzy gymnastics routine to win the highest talent award. Reigning queens Sali Barber and Danielle Clary performed in their Kenerly Kreations costumes as they gave their farewells to the hometown crowd. Both Clary and Barber competed at the state level in their custom Kenerly Kreations costumes.
Outstanding teen fitness wear contestant Ashley Voyles wore a Kenerly Kreations original velvet fitness wear outfit featuring her high school letters as she modeled for the judges while they judged her in fitness.
